Daycare, TV & Ranking Outfits

I totally started this blog post by going on for THREE paragraphs about how much I love fall. It was terrible and boring and oh my god, did I really just write three paragraphs about a season? Blegh. Anyways, I totally deleted all of that and decided to start over. However, I’m having one of those days were I’m not really sure what I want to write about.

So I’ll just go with the top three things that are living in my head today:

#1. Jack started daycare this morning.
You can read more about our daycare needs and situation here and here. Today was our very first day of going to our new daycare and I really didn’t think it would be a big deal. I mean, I’ve been dropping Jack off at my mom’s house since he was 10 weeks old! However, I realized on my way into work that today was the first time I’ve ever left Jack with a non-relative.

I’m going to be honest; it’s bothering me a little. I know that they’re great at the daycare, it’s just that I feel so incredibly comfortable leaving Jack with his grandma or his daddy and I’ve got a bit of a stomach cramp thinking about him being at daycare all day today. I’m trying to keep my mind off it though and plan on calling at lunch to check up on my little guy.

#2. I am so glad that new episodes of my favorite TV shows are finally back!
I’m kind of a TV addict and TiVo is my enabler. After a summer of reruns, it is so nice to finally have some new TV shows to watch. However, it’s also a little disappointing when a show that I loved (or at least really, really liked) last year isn’t doing so much for me now.

Here is my TV watch list, in case you want to vent about a plot line:

Love with a red-hot passion:

  • Revenge
  • Bones
  • How I Met Your Mother
  • The New Girl
  • Glee
  • Project Runway
  • Hart of Dixie
  • Smash
  • Being Human (American Version)

Like, but wouldn’t mind much if I missed an eppy:

  • CSI
  • Don’t trust the B in Apartment 23
  • Raising Hope
  • Guilty Pleasures: Breaking Amish and Abby & Brittany

Shows that I’m totally on the fence about and may break up with soon:

  • Once Upon a Time
  • Franklin & Bash
  • The New Normal
  • The Voice

Thank goodness for TiVo, because I’d never have a chance to watch any of my shows if I had to be in front of the TV at a certain time. Also, I save HOURS by fast forwarding through commercials!

#3. Ranking Outfits According to Work Locations
I started a new work schedule today where I will be traveling to three different locations throughout the week. Today’s location (which is also Friday’s location) is a total ghost town other than the housekeeping staff. So I’m thinking I should be sure not to bother wearing any cute outfits on Monday’s or Friday’s. Which means I only need to shower and care about my appearance three days each week. Nice!

How about you, anything interesting living in your head today? Are you a ho for fall? Were you mildly disappointed with last night’s Once Upon a Time? Are you super excited to see where this year’s Revenge will take us?

Like what you see? Share me with your friends!

    1. Glee and I have a love/hate relationship. I try to break up with Glee, but then something awesome happens and I’m sucked back in. I’m kind of digging the new storyline of NYC vs Lima. And Rachel’s new love interest is crazy hawt with his shirt off…

  1. I couldn’t get into Glee…I’m not really sure why.
I have yet to watch Once Upon a Time (The BF has been working triple overtime and it’s like our thing together)
I love Smash–which it would come back sooner!
I also feel the exact same about Don’t Trust the B—but I <3 Dawson Leary erm…James Vanderbeek.

    My TV addictions are:

    Summer: True Blood, Falling Skies
Fall/Spring: Grey's Anatomy, Once Upon a Time, Walking Dead, American Horror Story, & Homeland…
    Spring: Smash

Maybe I watch too much TV…

    1. OMG, The Beek is HILARIOUS on that show! I was never a big Dawson watcher, but oh my gosh is he funny making fun of himself!

I’m also a True Blood fan, but I don’t have HBO — so I catch up with each season late by watching them back-to-back off of Netflix. I’m pretty far behind now. =(

And you obviously don’t watch too much TV because my list is way longer than yours, and I didn’t even include stuff not on right now like So You Think You Can Dance!
