Okay, I wasn’t planning to post today, but then I saw that Anthropologie has an extra 50% off sale items for Labor Day weekend (8/28 – 9/2) and I wanted to make sure you all know about it!
Anthropologie’s sale on sale is the BEST way to score amazing finds for a fraction of their original cost. The problem is that they tend to sell out of the more popular sizes early, so if you see something you like… hop on it!

I originally was planning to buy this top in the blue motif, but there were so many positive reviews for the red animal version that I decided to mix it up a bit and go for that one. I’ve been needing some nice-but-not-too-nice blouses to wear with sweaters on Casual Friday’s and I think this one will be great. It also looks super cute on the model when she has it tucked in, so I may end up styling this one with a skirt or two as well. This one comes in numeric sizes AND has plus sizes.
Alexandrine Embroidered Blouse

I saw this blouse on the Anthro website a while ago and stuck it on my “wish list” on the site just waiting until it went on sale. As soon as I saw the 50% off sale items started this morning, I put my order in at 5:45 am with blurry eyes for a large… and thank goodness I did because all that is left now is XS and Small sizes! I anticipate wearing this top with jeans on the weekends and also topping it with a cute sweater for work. I LOVE that I snapped it up for just $25 when it originally was marked at $88!

You guys, this dress is so gorgeous! The mixed print. The flouncy skirt. The cut out back. Perfection! However, I’ve learned that even though I love maxi dresses on other people I don’t love them on me. I’ve had a few over the years and they always get shoved to the back of the closet. So if you get this one, let me know and I can live vicariously through you! As of this morning, this dress was available in XS, large, 1X, 2X and 3X.
Amadi Textured Bomber Jacket

Much like maxi dresses, I tend to admire bomber jackets on other people. My friend Lindsey found one at a consignment shop and she looks like a million dollars in it. Me… I’m not sure I can pull it off. However, I LOVE the look of this one. I really like the textured finish and the navy blue color. I’m not sure if this could be worked into a business casual wardrobe for work, or if it would be best as a weekend topper though. What are your thoughts: love it, hate it, or meh?

I tried this dress on and shared it with you all in a Dressing Room Snaps post in June (click through it you want to see it on me). At the time, I said I loved the fit of the dress and how incredibly soft the jersey was… but that it was overpriced. Well, marked down from $160 to $50 is pretty fantastic. I’d snap this up in a heartbeat if I hadn’t realized I already own maxi dresses that are gathering dust in my closet. I really wish they’d put the other dress I tried on – the Tania Tiered Dress – on sale, because I’d scoop that one right up!
