It’s Coconut Oil Season

I’ve talked about my love of Coconut Oil before, but now that the weather got cold again, I figured I’d remind you about its awesomeness!

According to Amazon, I purchased my first jar of Coconut Oil in November 2015… and I’m still using that jar two years later. Here’s a link to the exact kind I have used for two years (and I still have a ton left).

If you suffer from dry skin, you’re going to want to get in on this.

Step 1: Take a long shower and ignore any interruptions from spouse and/or kids.

Step 2: Dry off.

Step 3: Scrape a finger-full of the Coconut Oil into the palm of your hand and rub your hands together to warm it. It will go from a waxy solid to a liquid when it is heated with your body heat.

Step 4: Part by part, fully moisturize every bit of yourself. Every. Single. Bit. I always joke to my husband once I’m fully oiled that I feel like I’d sauté up to be quite delicious.

Step 5: Put on your pajamas and just smell how awesome you are until morning.

Boom. That’s it. You don’t need to wash it off… the Coconut Oil will soak into your skin and you’ll be soft as a baby’s bottom. I haven’t found that it leaves me greasy or ruins my clothes or anything… it’s just magically awesome. I try to do this twice a week and it makes a world of difference for my dry skin!
