I am NOT a winter girlie. I hate being cold. I hate having dry, cracked skin. And frankly, if I don’t need to leave the house, I hibernate like a groundhog. Here’s how I dressed when I had to leave the house this month…
Work Style

First up, we have the ‘getting ready for the big event’ look, which is stretchy black jeans, a black v-neck tee and a fabulous Johnny Was blouse (the front is plaid and the back is embroidered velvet!). I needed something that I could wear into the office to set up for our employee party and this felt comfortable and looked nice.
The middle outfit is what I wore for our work party, and I chose the comfortable boots because I had a bunch of errands to run/stuff to do in order to finalize the event. I actually ended up doing 7 MILES worth of steps that day!
The outfit to the right is what I wore to run into the office a couple weeks later when it was snowy outside to just do a little party clean up and put things away. Comfortable, simple and a step above a sweatsuit.
Casual Style

Here are my two casual looks from this month, because honestly I mostly lived in joggers and hoodies. The outfit to the left is what I wore to run out to a doctor’s appointment — a secondhand cotton Pendelton sweater with boot cut jeans.
The look to the right is a new favorite and I wore it to have brunch with a friend. I thrifted the blue skirt in Arizona and I paired it with my evil eye sequin tee, stretchy Anthropologie black denim jacket and my new-to-me vintage Dr Martens boots.
New vs Secondhand Tally
This month, I count 5 items that I purchased retail and 10 items I purchased secondhand.
