Reader Survey Results {with charts & graphs out the wazoo}

Remember last week when I begged you to fill out a special Pocketful of Joules reader survey? Yup, I let my marketing freak flag fly and asked you all sorts of questions to figure out what I was doing well and what I need to improve.

Well, thank you, thank YOU, THANK YOU!
You guys totally rock.

Not only did a bushel and a peck of people fill out my survey, some of you also left some insanely cool comments on the post. I mean, I DID ask you to leave a comment in order to be entered for the $100 True&Co prize… but I didn’t tell you guys to be so darn NICE!

I swear, next time I have a bad day which results in me having a full-on tantrum, slamming the door to my bedroom and hiding away to watch an episode of Orange is the New Black in PEACE (last Saturday)… I’m going to pull up those comments and read them.

Some of you mentioned you’d be interested in seeing the results, so I got all fancy up in here to show them to you:

And now a little about WHO you guys are… or maybe I should say ladies. Because NO men fessed up to having man-bits on the survey (but there were 7 people who skipped the question).

I’m so glad I did this survey because it really gave me some insight into what is working. For example, even though Facebook likes to hide my posts from 85% of you… it is still the NUMBER ONE way that you guys know about new blog posts! There is also a lot more interest in a monthly Pocketful of Joules newsletter than I would have expected, so that is something I will have to try out.

I was also pleasantly surprised that almost every single person who took the survey picked “just me being me” for what they like me to write about, followed by “family” and “fashion.” So, a big old fist bump to all of you. Actually, scratch that. Awkward HUGS for everyone!

By the way, you guys are also funny as hell. Here are a few of my favorite responses:

You really do connect with people through your blog. I feel like we could be friends. Seriously, we live in the same town. I feel like we could be actual friends. And I hope that doesn’t make me sound like a stalker. I assure you, I am not.

And last but not least, to those of you who were super concerned that I was using the survey to figure out what to change about Pocketful of Joules. Don’t worry – I promise, I’m not doing any huge changes. I just wanted to get some feedback on what you guys enjoy most so that I can give you more of it.
