I feel like I’ve had a lot of movement in my Poshmark closet lately, as well as found myself some fabulous secondhand scores. Let’s take a look!
Poshmark Sales
I mentioned in a recent post that I have been ruthlessly purging my closet yet again. I listed a bunch of stuff to Poshmark and also filled multiple trash bags of clothes that got dropped off at my local thrift store. Jack also recently outgrew a bunch of pants and shoes, so I listed them in my closet as well.
Here is what has recently sold out of my Poshmark closet:
- Bundle of 3 pairs of kids pants – $30
- Boden jersey dress – $21
- Kids snow boots – $14
- Kids rain boots – $10
- Kid’s Rothy’s sneakers – $20
- Frye hoodie – $42
- Bundle of 2 Boden dresses – $40
- Rothy’s sneakers – $125
- Banana Republic wrap dress – $12
My total of sales was $314 before Poshmark fees (20%)
My Posh Tip for Selling: If you have a kiddo who is growing out of their clothes and shoes before they even look worn, bundle a few things and list it as a group. I do this with Jack’s track pants and they typically get snapped up. As for snow boots and rain boots, they were still in perfect condition (and the snow boots were even thrifted), so why not pass them onto another kid to enjoy and make a few dollars back?!
Poshmark Scores
I’ve also bought a few things off Poshmark lately and got some fabulous scores.
- Eileen Fisher Organic Linen moto jacket – $34 (retail $258)
- Anthropologie jacquard moto jacket – $15 (retail $98)
I’ve already worn the Eileen Fisher moto jacket to work as a topper (you can see the outfit here) and it’s a nice, lightweight linen that is great for the office. The Anthropologie moto jacket is more of a sweater material, so I’ll pull that one out for when the temperatures drop!
- Anthropologie railroad stripe jean jacket + Eric Michael booties bundle – $40 (jacket retail $138, boots retail $189)
- Frye Veronica Studded moto boots – $106 (retail $398)
I’ve been on a lightweight jacket/topper kick, and this railroad stripe jean jacket was exactly what I wasn’t actually looking for. I already wore it last week (here is the outfit) and you will certainly be seeing this again and again!
Did I need two more pairs of boots? Nope. But dang do they make me happy! When I found the striped jean jacket, I noticed the green/gold boots in the Poshers closet, so I decided to bundle the items and make an offer for $40… which was accepted. As for the Frye boots, they are just so pretty and I got a great deal on them, so no regrets!
I spent a total of $195 (+ tax and shipping) for everything and the total retail value of it all is $1,081. Which means I got everything for almost 80% off retail.
My Posh Tip for Buying: If you find something you love, go ahead and ‘like’ it on Poshmark. This alerts the seller so that they can send you a sale price if they’d like. However also be sure to do a search for that specific thing to see if anyone else has it listed. Often, you will find a few of the exact same item listed with a huge range of prices.
For example, that exact Eileen Fisher moto jacket currently has 16 listings in a large from different sellers and the listing prices range from $35 – $85. The Frye Veronica Studded moto boots caught my eye on a new listing with fantastic photos for $195. However, I did another search for Frye Studded boots and found the EXACT same pair with less beautiful photos listed for $149. I offered $106 and my offer was accepted. So, don’t be afraid to shop around a little!
