Reviewing Causebox: The Summer 2020 Box Reveal

I have been so excited for my Summer Causebox and it’s FINALLY HERE! The spoilers for this box looked really enticing, but now that it’s here I’m even happier with everything they sent. This is probably the BEST Causebox box I’ve gotten in… maybe ever?

Let’s take a look at my Summer Causebox:

PMD Clean from PMD Beauty, $99 retail value

Annual subscribers were able to choose between teal, blush or navy for their PMD Clean color, and I went with navy. According to Causebox, the PMD Clean firms, tones, and lifts by breaking down dirt and oil from within your pores at 7,000 vibrations per minute It is made from ultra-hygienic silicone and is both waterproof and antibacterial.

I have no idea if using a vibrating brush on your face actually does anything, but they recommend using it to apply face serum… so I’ll give it a try. I know that in real life I’d never pay $100 for a vibrating face brush thingie, so I’m happy to test this out courtesy of my Causebox subscription.

Grace & Stella Hyaluronic Acid Serum, $25 retail value

This serum was included in everybody’s Causebox and it said to lock in moisture to leave your skin plumper, dewier and more hydrated which should reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and blemishes. When I run out of what I’m currently using, I’ll give this one a try. And I guess I’ll try it with the PMD Clean too!

Pepper + Vetiver two-tone watercolor design bowl set, $36 retail value

Oh my gosh, I was most excited about this three-bowl set and now that I have them, I can say I LOVE THESE BOWLS. They come in three sizes and they are all absolutely gorgeous. I love pretty bowls and use them regularly for mixing, marinating, and holding fresh cut fruit for dinner. The day I received them, I washed them an immediately used them for dinner.

Set of 6 Altcooking Hub Silicone Stretch Lids, $8 retail value

I was actually really excited about this item because many times I have dinner sides in a pretty bowl and then have to transfer it into a Tupperware to put it in the fridge. So, instead of getting two items dirty, I can just stretch a clingy silicone lid over my bowl and I’m good to go. The best part is that they fit the three-bowl set from this box too! I just used them over the weekend and was thrilled that they are both microwave and dishwasher safe. And they’re so inexpensive too — I wish I would have bought these forever ago!

Reed Diffuser from Feya Candle Co, $35 retail value

Annual subscribers were able to choose between two scents – white tea & ginger, or bergamot & grapefruit – which is kind of difficult. I went with a blind choice of the bergamot & grapefruit. I got really lucky because I love the scent. I think it will be perfect for my kitchen since it’s so light and citrusy.

Malu SPF 30 Day Cream, $42 retail value

For this choice, I was able to pick between a pair of fringe earrings, an essential oil roll-on duo or the day cream. This was super easy, because I can always use some extra SPF for my face and I had never tried this brand before. It seems awfully expensive for a SPF cream, so maybe it will do something wonderful to my face…

Citrus Bath Salts, $20 retail value

My last choice product in this box was between healing balm or bath salts. I very rarely take baths, but decided to go with the bath salts anyways. I can always gift them to a friend or let Jack take super fancy baths.

Overall Thoughts

I loooooved this quarter’s Causebox so much! I was most excited about the watercolor bowls, silicone covers, and the PMD Clean. However, nothing from this box is disappointing. It is a perfect summer box and I’m happy to start using everything ASAP.
