Reviewing the Shark 2-in-1 Blast & Scrub Steam Pocket Mop

I’ve mentioned before how I love a clean house, but I hate finding the time to devote to cleaning it from top-to-bottom. Instead, I find little snippets of time throughout the week and clean a little here and a little there. To be honest, some things just keep falling through the cracks and never get done. …like mopping the floors. Typically, I’ll just give them a swipe with the vacuum and call it a day.

The idea of filling the sink with water, adding the cleansing liquid, getting the gross mop from where it is stored, rubbing it all over the floors, and then scrubbing out the sink just doesn’t light my fire. A few years ago I tried one of those mops where it squirts out the spray and then wipes it up with a maxi pad looking thing, but it just left my entire kitchen sticky and streaky.

Which brings us to today’s post about the Shark 2-in-1 Blast & Scrub Steam Pocket Mop. I wasn’t really in the market for a mop because I decided to just ignore the problem. However, my friends at Shark reached out to see if I’d like to try their pocket mop and I figured I’d give it a whirl.

The Nitty Gritty
The Shark 2-in-1 Blast & Scrub Steam Pocket Mop is a way to clean and sanitize your floors without getting out the bucket and mop. It not only works as a mop, but it also converts to a handheld steamer to tackle all of your above-floor messes. The 3-setting Electronic Intelligent Steam Control provides the right amount of steam needed and since it is just water, there is no chemical residue. The Shark Pocket cleaning pads have a patented design for cleaning a variety of surfaces and they are easy to remove and wash in your washing machine. The system is available at major retailers nationwide starting at $129.99 MSRP. For more information on where to buy, click here.

My Thoughts
If you hate covering your floor in chemicals and still want it to be squeaky clean, this is a game-changer. It is super easy and quick to use, which is exactly what I needed. All you do is fill the chamber with water, turn it on, and as soon as it starts making a bubbling-hissing noise, get to work. I used it on my laminate kitchen floors and my fake wood floors and it got them really clean with just one swipe. My favorite part is that when you are done you can just whip the cleaning pad off and throw it in your washing machine, rather than having something disposable to add to a landfill. I’ve used it a few times over the past month and it’s almost fun to see how quick the steam cleans away the yuck that somehow attaches to my floors.

Tell me, do you mop your floors or do you just vacuum them and call it a day?
