June Thrift Haul

I didn’t have a lot of thrifting luck this month, but I’m actually kind of not looking for much right now either… so maybe I actually found exactly what I needed?

Sonoma Linen Blouse, $3.49

This Sonoma shirt still had the Kohls tags on it for $30, so I was pretty fine with paying $3.50 for it. It’s just a really nice weight linen blouse with some fun details like the ruffle around the neck. With the buttons, I can either wear it buttoned and tucked in, or I can unbutton it and tie it at the waist.

I thought this could be cute paired with some of my skirts this summer, or even layered under cardigans for work. The warm-brick-red color is also one I really like, but don’t have much of in my closet.

Old Bay T-Shirt, $1

Yes, I’m a Marylander. So, when I was checking the men’s t-shirt section for any super soft t-shirts to add to my collection and I saw this one for $1 it was a no brainer. It is SUPER oversized on me and honestly, I could probably give this to my husband to wear, but dang it if it isn’t super comfy. I’ve already worn this a few times around the house with my comfy shorts… so I plan to keep on wearing it until it gets turned into rags for its next life.

And a Bonus Thrift Score from my son:

RC Snap Rover, $10

Jack pretty much loves every STEM toy out there and we have been very happy to find $2 sets of Snap Circuits over the years, which he has built into a giant project. He was super excited to find this Snap Rover at the thrift store over the weekend for only $10 and it looked like it had all the pieces. When we got home, there were some corroded batteries that needed to be cleaned out (I took care of that, since they were kind of gross) and once it was all cleaned up, it worked perfectly. We looked this set up on Amazon and it’s still selling for $89.95!

April Thrift Haul

This was a busy month, so I was thrilled to have a couple hours to myself to go thrifting over the weekend. I found nothing on my ‘ongoing thrifting’ list, but I did find four great tops to add to my closet!

Old Navy Embroidered Blouse, $7.79

I love a chambray shirt and I love embroidery, so this top was an easy choice and it’s giving me Johnny Was vibes. I can tell from the tags that it was released in Old Navy stores in Fall 2017 and it’s in great condition. It’s an XL, so it’s a little oversized but I’m just happy when I can comfortably close the buttons over my bust… so I’m cool with it.

I think this will look super cute with the sleeves rolled up and tied over spring dresses. I’m also planning to try it open as a topper over a tank top with a pair of darker denim shorts.

American Eagle “Ahh-mazingly soft” boyfriend shirt, $9.49

I’m guessing this shirt was an unwanted gift, because it still had the tags attached with the retail price ripped off. True to it’s name, it is pretty darn soft. I love the colors of this plaid and the oversized fit. It’s not very springy, but I’ve washed it and added it to my drawer to pull out next fall. It will look adorable with a pair of jeans and boots!

Rag & Bone linen knit top, $5.29

The neck tag that lists the size on this top was missing, but the inside tag on the inner side seam was still there to let me know that this is 100% linen and from Rag & Bone. I did a little Google Image search and was shocked that this top retailed for $160! It is super cute, but a little cropped for me. So, I plan to wear it with a higher rise skirt, or underneath one of my sleeveless linen dresses.

Lou & Grey top, $8.49

This was another easy top to track down, as it is Lou & Grey brand sold at Ann Taylor Loft. I found the same shirt new-with-tags on Poshmark, and it retailed for $69.50. I wasn’t sure if I would like the waist twist, but after washing it and trying it on, it’s super adorable. It is also incredibly soft and reminds me of a pair of well-worn flannel pajamas. I can’t wait to pair this with skirts, as well as jean shorts.

March Thrift Haul

Earlier this week, I shared what has been leaving my house through Poshmark and Facebook group sales. Well, here are two things that came into my house… Yes, just two items again this month. And honestly, one of them may not be staying for very long.

Adidas Track Jacket, $12.99 (retails for $80)

I picked up this track jacket at the thrift store for $13 and I think it’s super cute. I’ve seen and liked the Adidas track jackets with bright flowers and the black stripes up the arms, so this one kind of had the same high/low feel with the fun black and white pattern. It has buttons to close it, nice deep pockets, and even a split hem in the back for a little fun.

The ONLY problem is… it is unlined and I have sensitive skin. So, when I wear it over a t-shirt the inside of the sleeves are kind of itchy with the seams pressing against my skin. I need to either get used to it so that it doesn’t bother me anymore or only throw it on if I’m wearing a long sleeve top. It does look super cute with a pair of leggings for kid drop off/pick up, so I’m going to see if I can make it work!

Johnny Was Cedella Blouse, $39.50 (retails for $205)

You guys, I LOVE Johnny Was. I once went into an actual Johnny Was store and basically just looked around with my mouth open and big old hearts exploding out of my eyes. The problem is, that the brand is so freaking expensive. Even on Poshmark, it’s hard to find a blouse for less than $100. So, I admire it from afar.

But then when I was out at a consignment shop with a friend I found this embroidered top and immediately knew the brand. It’s a size medium, so I wasn’t sure if it would fit my bust, but I was thrilled that it fits! And it’s so freaking cute. I even wore it to work last week with a skirt and cardigan.

It will also look adorable paired with a pair of jean shorts this summer, so I’m so happy I was able to scoop this up for $40!
