It has been quite a while since I have tried a new subscription box. Over the past few years I’ve tried a bunch of them, from Birchbox to Wantable. However, the only one I really kept for the long-term was my quarterly FabFitFun subscription (you can see my Fall box reveal here). Every time I see a potential subscription I might like, I do a bunch of google sleuthing to check out the last few boxes to see if I’d REALLY want their version of a monthly surprise. Usually, I don’t end up loving everything so I hold off. Well, I finally pulled the trigger and decided to try out the Emma&Chloé jewelry subscription!
About Emma&Chloé:
Emma&Chloé works with small, independent artisans to bring subscribers the latest design trends from Paris. All their jewelry pieces are handmade with brass, plated with 24k gold or dip-coated in a silver bath and feature semi-precious stones. Subscriptions are available on a monthly basis ($35 per box), as a 3-month subscription ($33 per box), 6-month subscription ($31 per box) or a 12-month subscription ($29 per box). Monthly box values are up to $200 and ship to the US and Canada.
When you sign up you can choose your jewelry preferences for only gold, only silver, or “surprise me” each month. You also indicate whether you have pierced ears or prefer clip earrings. As an added bonus, all subscribers get 20% off their online shop.
I decided to commit to the 3-month package with my first box arriving in September as a fun birthday surprise. I like both gold and silver, so I picked “surprise me” for my metal choice. You can find them here: Emma&Chloé. They do not have a referral program and I am not part of their blogger program/brand ambassador program, I just like them and wanted to share what I received!
Let’s Check out the September Box:
The designer for September 2017 is Anne Thomas (you can read an interview with her here). Her original collections are inspired by colorful geometric designs for a unique yet chic style.
September’s jewelry: Cuzco Earrings, retail price $113
For this piece, Ann Thomas was inspired by her travels across the Mayan landscapes and watching the sun rise above their ancient and awe-inspiring temples. Subscribers received either gold-plated 18-carat brass Cuzco earrings with a touch of coral lacquer, or a silver-coated brass green version.
I have some tiny diamond stud earrings my dad gave me 25+ years ago and I basically never switch them out. However, part of the reason I liked this subscription is to get me out of my typical jewelry rut. I absolutely love these little studs! At first I was disappointed that I didn’t received the green version, but I really like the pair I got. The basically go with everything and are nice and lightweight when I put them on.
I’m so pleased with my first Emma&Chloé box and I can’t wait to see what I receive next month!
