Both Travis and I are still rocking our iPhone 4 cellphones.
If you are anything like the AT&T dude we spoke to, you are probably staring at the computer screen (or your much newer phone) with a look of shock. Because apparently having an iPhone 4 is like having an old school car phone or something.
However, my feelings are that as long as the phone still works, I might as well keep using it until it dies. And our iPhone 4’s have done their job for a few years now… but now their time for this world is winding down. Actually, their batteries are winding down. They lose their charge within a half of a day and they are starting to have lots of other issues too.
We are finally ready to upgrade and we are considering either the iPhone 6 or the iPhone 6S. I’m most excited about the larger screen and the upgraded camera, but I’m sure there are lots more benefits that I just don’t know about yet.
Do you have thoughts on which version is the best – the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6S?
Since we will be pulling the trigger soon on the purchase – we are just waiting to see if any Black Friday/pre-holiday deals pop up – I reached out to my friends at Speck to see if they had anything new and fabulous to try out.
As luck would have it, they do! The Speck CandyShell Clear and CandyShell Inked Luxury Edition cases:
I’ll be giving Travis the CandyShell Clear case to protect his new phone. This version has two layers of military-grade protection with an exterior polycarbonate layer which disperses impact. The design of the raised bezel also protects the screen from impact, which will be perfect for Travis. He really likes that the case is so sturdy, yet still clear.
I’ll be keeping the CandyShell Inked Luxury Edition for myself, because it has all the same impact protection design features, with an added bonus of the wraparound design (mine is Platinum Posies/Beaming Orchid) that resists scratching and fading. I LOVE the design of the new case and can’t wait to start using it!
In advance of getting our new phones, I also ordered a couple car chargers from Amazon. Now we just need the new iPhone’s and we are good to go!
Do you have the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6S? Which version do you think we should go with?
Disclosure: Speck Products provided me with the CandyShell Clear case and the CandyShell Inked Luxury Edition case for review purposes; however all thoughts and opinions are my own.

We just upgraded to the iphone 6s in September and we love it!! You can take live photos- like you take a picture and then you can hold it and see what was happening. It’s perfect for kids because you can see what was happening in the moment. We upgraded from the iphone 5 so we were almost as outdated! here are lots of upgrades even from the 6 so I would say go for the 6s and you won’t already be a model behind?
I also love Speck cases!
Oooh, that does sound awfully helpful when taking a kid’s picture! =)
