We are an iPhone family. For years both my husband and I have had iPhones for both our personal phones, as well as our work phones. We have also had a few iPods floating around the house for music listening. For the past 6+ years, I have had an iHome in my kitchen with an old iPod sitting in it. It hasn’t been updated in forever, so it was in great need of new music. Also, when the iPhones changed their plugs, it made it so that I could no longer plug my phone in there… but it worked with my iPod so I kept it.
Sometime over the last few years, I’ve really started to use my iPhone as my main source of music. I have some music loaded on there with playlists for ‘car jams’ and a ‘running mix’, as well as Pandora that links through my phone into my car. I also tend to listen to Pandora all day while working on my laptop.
So, when it came time to figure out what I wanted for Christmas this year, I thought a Bluetooth speaker might be just the ticket.
Of course, then Travis didn’t actually get me one. So, I let my fingers do some walking over to Amazon and did a little research. I ended up picking the Anker Soundcore Portable Bluetooth Speaker. It was only $25.99, qualified for Prime shipping, and had 10,885 customer reviews that averaged at 4.5 stars out of 5.
I got it super quickly and had the thing set up in less than 2 minutes. Basically, all I had to do was turn it on and then couple it with my phone. Boom, done. {Also, how adorable is that photo from our engagement shoot 10 years ago?!}
I couldn’t believe how easy it was to set up and the sound is great! This little speaker gets super loud too. I stuck it in the bathroom while talking my shower and was totally able to sing along to the music at the top of my lungs and still hear the music over the water in the shower. I’ve also brought it into my workout area so I can dance-elliptical along with music, and put it in my kitchen so I can groove while cooking.
Now that I finally have a Bluetooth speaker, I feel silly for not buying one for such a long time! So, if you are in the market… I highly recommend spending $26 and getting this one.
