It’s time for my monthly wrap up where I show you the outfits I wore throughout the month. My reasoning behind doing the wrap up is that whenever I check out other bloggers wrap ups, I’m always inspired by the different ways they style the same items over and over again. So, hopefully I can help someone else out of a wardrobe rut!
I typically work from home two days a week (Monday and Friday), so each week will usually only have three work outfits. September was pretty warm all month in Maryland, so I wore lots of skirts and dresses. I’m planning to pack up some of the more summary dresses this weekend since October is right around the corner!
Here are all my September looks + my birthday photo look:
I put little hearts next to my most popular outfits according to my Instagram friends. I appreciate all the love!
The Winners
Well, I certainly have a ‘style’ – basically every outfit has one printed piece + a solid. What can I say? I love crazy prints and I cannot lie! I can’t pick a winner this month because I love almost every one of them.
1 1/2 Losers – row 1, outfit 2 and possibly row 3, outfit 3
Row 1, outfit 2: I only bought these Minnetonka sandals a year ago, but they really did not wear well. The leather(?) under the toe bed is peeling and it is super noticeable… so they are going into my thrift/trash pile. Now that I’ve been burned by that brand, I’ll probably avoid it in the future.
Row 3, outfit 3: I want to love this green Boden dress because the color is really beautiful, but I’m not sure that the fit is totally working on me. To be honest, it might look better if I were a few pounds lighter. I’m planning to pack it away for summer, so I’ll decide then whether it’s a keeper or up for sale.
New in Rotation for September:
Rebecca Taylor Boucle jacket (shared in this post) – row 1, outfit 3
Oliphant Mandarin Collar blouse (thrifted in this post) – row 2, outfit 3
Kate Spade glitter flats (just purchased at TJ Maxx) – row 4, outfit 1
Not too much new this month because I was totally getting sick of the 90 degree weather! I have a few fall weather things that I’ve thrifted/purchased over the last couple months and I’m hoping October finally cools down enough to wear them!
Do you have a favorite September outfit? What are your thoughts on that green dress…?
The polka dot dress in row 3 looks insanely great. It is the cut… Can’t tell… is it an A line? The non gathering at the waist is what is doing it along with the neckline and where it hits you at your knee. Sweater/jacket also balances it well and is a flattering cut.
Thanks so much! It is an A-line skirt and the stiffer fabric makes it drape in a super flattering way!
