Dressing Room Snaps: Anthropologie ‘Sale on Sale’

You guys like my dressing room pictures, right? Well, I had to stop in Anthropologie over the weekend to make a quick online return, so I decided to poke around their sale section. They are currently running a ‘sale on sale’ promotion where all sale items are an additional 25% off. Let’s check out some of my favorites!

Item #1: La Vie en Rose Graphic Tee (find it here)
Size worn: Large
Original price: $88, Sale price: $39.95 + 25% off

I was actually coming into the store to return a t-shirt (I bought it in both a large and XL and decided I preferred the roomier fit), so of course I had to check out the rest of their t-shirt offerings. If this one had been available in an XL, I might have liked it better. It was a bit too fitted on the tummy for me to enjoy with jeans. I do like the stripes and the cute saying though, as I actually own a La Vie en Rose bracelet that I adore.

Item #2: Apres Moi Graphic Tee (find it here)
Size worn: Large
Original price: $78, Sale price: $49.95 + 25% off

First of all, I don’t consider a ‘sale’ price of $50 for a t-shirt to be a sale at all. Once again, the t-shirt was way more fitted than I like… and this is a large! I like the heathered gray of the shirt, but other than that I wasn’t impressed with this one.

Item #3: The Odells dress (not online)
Size worn: Small
Original price: $218, Sale price: $129.25 + 25% off

I am totally crying that this dress wasn’t available in a larger size. I LOVE the soft cotton feel of the fabric, the pretty pattern and the POCKETS! You can’t tell from the photo, but it was basically squishing the crap out of my bust and I could have used a medium or a large. I had the nice saleslady check and the dress was not available at any other store. She found it on the designer’s website, but it was still full price. And I like the dress, but not for $218! Guess this will be one of those ‘the one that got away’ dresses…

Item #4: Elevenses Lunar dress (find it here)
Size worn: 14
Original price: $168, Sale price: $49.95 + 25% off

Sorry, but I just couldn’t resist trying on a silver sparkly princess dress. Do I have a need for a princess dress in my life? Nope. Did I try it on and spin around in the dressing room anyways? Heck yeah I did. I’d say that this dress fit about one size small. Also, where the side zipper comes down it does a weird pokey thing that looked dumb and was uncomfortable. Great for twirling though!

Item #5: Vanessa Virginia top (not online)
Size worn: XL
Original price: $58, Sale price: $29.95 + 25% off

I like the cool neckline on this super soft tank top. It adds a little visual interest, while still not being fussy or uncomfortable. I could have sized down, but all they had at my store was an XL. I think this one will look great with a pair of slim work trousers and a sweater or blazer. I can also see it tucked into a high-waisted skirt. With the discount it was right around $23, so this one came home with me!
