After January feeling like it was like 75 days long, February has certainly flown by. I had the opportunity to thrift two times this month and found some fun items, so let’s check them out!
{Pssst, you can read about my previous thrifting adventures here}
Cable & Gauge sparkle sweater, $6.99
While running errands one day, I stopped by a thrift store that I’ve found many fun items at previously. Although I took a bunch of stuff into the dressing room, only this beaded sweater came home with me. I love Cable & Gauge sweaters and probably have thrifted over a half-dozen with two of them having beading. This one is a perfect shade of gray with a bit of sparkle around the neck and on the buttons. I’ve already worn this one twice and it’s a great addition to my wardrobe.
Last week I had a very rough day, so I decided to do a thrift stop on my way home from work. I hit up a Goodwill near me where I typically don’t have a lot of luck… and I found a few fun things!
NYDJ black straight leg jeans, $6.99
The picture for some reason is making these jeans look kind of faded or green, but they are actually super dark black with no distressing at all. I’ve tried NYDJ before at Nordstrom/Nordstrom Rack, so when I saw this black pair in my size I figured I’d go through the hassle of fully disrobing so I could try them on. They have a good amount of stretch in them and they are in perfect condition, so I bought them as a back up to my current pair of black jeans. On the NYDJ website, the jeans range from $119 – $139, but I’ve found them at Nordstrom Rack for $45 – 50. Any which way, $7 is a steal!
Betabrand Elixir dress, $8.99
UGH, I wish this dress were my size… but it’s a small. It’s a perfect condition Betabrand dress that sells on their website for $108. It’s wrinkle-resistant material and HAS POCKETS! So yeah, it’s basically the most perfect work dress. I texted a photo to my sisters, but unfortunately none of them are interested. I listed it in my Poshmark closet, so if you’re interested send me an offer!
Blue Q socks, $4.99
I love Blue Q brand and these exact socks are still selling on their website for $12.99. They were still in the original packaging at the thrift store and I knew my husband would love them… so I splurged.
Old Navy skirt, $5.99 on sale for $3
I typically don’t thrift Old Navy because I’ve found their clothes don’t really hold up over the years. I make the occasional exception though, for items like this skirt. It’s a soft and breezy lightweight cotton and the pattern is super bright. The drawstring waistband is comfy and I can see me wearing this with a tank top or graphic tee over the summer. All green tags were 50% off, so I got this beauty for just $3!
Rachel Hollis sweatshirt, $6.99 on sale for $3.50
I’m a sucker for a super soft sweatshirt with thumb-holes. I googled this one and found that it was sold on QVC in December 2019 for $56. I’m guessing someone got it for Christmas and donated it? It’s obviously never been worn at all. And for a sale price of $3.50, I’ll add it to my comfy clothes drawer.
I’d love to hear your thrifting stories! Did you find a diamond in the rough (literally or figuratively)?
